Loud clog-dancing by Meltman at an afterparty awakens a Mesozoic creature, Spotzilla, who runs rampant and eats Stinky Diver alive. The League must work fast to get him back before digestion occurs!

In Prometheus and Bob, Prometheus teaches Bob how to play various musical instruments, only for one of them to attract an unwanted guest!

Surprising Shorts makes its debut with Lava!, featuring a Tarzan-like creature.

During Life with Loopy, Loopy eats too many eggs and becomes one herself!

Henry and June Act 1
Henry&June Episode 2 Intro Henry welcomes everyone to another "kablam-jamming" episode of KaBlam!, introducing himself and his co-host, the lovely and talented June, who is turning her eyelids inside out. This disgusts Henry, as he asks what June is doing, who explains that she is demonstrating one of her many superpowers. Henry says turning one's eyelids inside out is not a superpower, but June then tries another trick — touching her nose with her tongue — as Henry tells the cheering audience not to encourage her. Henry will attempt to explain to June what the difference is between a "super power" and a "stupid power" as he turns the page to Sniz and Fondue.

Sniz and Fondue
Sniz&Fondue Mod Stylin

Mod Stylin'

Snuppa and Bianca are going to the store, asking Sniz and Fondue if they need anything. Sniz wants a new case of his Handsome Devil hair gel but Snuppa is surprised because he just picked up a whole case the week before, and Bianca says she can't believe that Sniz needs two bottles of gel a day to keep one mohawk up. Sniz is pacing the living room as he waits for Snuppa and Bianca to return home, which they do with a case of Thrif Hold gel, called "cheap stuff" by Sniz, but he finds out it is ten times more effective than premium gels. He puts it to the test and so far, it is successful! Fondue says Sniz's hair is suffocating from all the "skull sauce" but Sniz senses some jealousy because of his hot new look. Sniz is in the bathroom to open up another bottle of Thrif Hold, but after combing it through his mohawk, his hair comes off. Fondue complains of a smell in the kitchen before a screaming Sniz runs in. Fondue thinks a prowler got into the house so he threatens with an egg-beater until Sniz pleads it is him, and the two hug. Fondue now attempts to grow Sniz's hair back, with the first attempt by giving him a circus clown look, but he remains sad. The next attempt involves growing flowers on Sniz's head, but after he and Fondue wait through the long days of summer, falling leaves in autumn and a blizzard during winter, in springtime a small flower blooms. At Follicle Friends Hair Salon, Sniz and Fondue talk with the hairdresser about options who says one can be amazed at what they can do for the hairless. Sniz guarantees his hair will grow back, but the hairdresser thinks that's what they all say, and presents a hairpiece that makes Fondue sick. Sniz asks for something a little more "elevated" and the hairdresser shows the newest item on the market, with remote-controlled sideburns. Sniz loves it and grabs the remote control, but he plays with it just a little too much before the hairpiece explodes. Sniz then comes to the conclusion that he's bald and everyone should just accept it, as the hairdresser calls it the saddest thing he's ever seen. Fondue is out of options, but he decides to get his head shaved bald which cheers up Sniz, who calls it the most beautiful and twisted moment of their lives! Fondue says if his hair grows back first, he'll give Sniz some. Sniz asks if he can have nose hair instead, heaven knows Fondue has plenty. Fondue then playfully gives Sniz a "bald noogie."

Henry and June Act 2
Henry&June Telekinesis The ending of Sniz and Fondue was so "sickeningly sweet," Henry loses his lunch (sloppy joe) before finding it again. June, now going by the superhero-like identity of Super June, shows that she has a power — telekinesis — as she lifts Henry with it before introducing Action League Now!.

Action League Now!
Action League Now! Spotzilla Part 1

The Wrath of Spotzilla: Part 1

During a ceremony at Patio Park, the Action League is accepting the Nobel Prize for being the best superheroes in the world. Stinky Diver is then interviewed by a local television station, asked if it's dangerous being a superhero, where Stinky replies he eats danger for breakfast. During a post-ceremony party, Meltman tries impressing Thundergirl by teaching her how to clog dance but the noise awakens a Mesozoic monster (actually just a Jack Russell Terrier) named Spotzilla, who awakens with death and destruction on his mind. Meltman offers to clog dance with Thundergirl but she refuses, and he says they could just do the Hokey Pokey instead, but she only said no because Spotzilla has arrived at the party, scaring off the attendees and even sniffing Justice's butt in the process. Stinky continues to be interviewed by the television station, before Spotzilla finds and eats him! The League regroups, figuring out that Spotzilla's next plan of attack is the World Cup soccer tournament at Garage Dome. Meltman, Thundergirl and the Flesh then make attempts to stop the dog. Meltman plays fetch with a stick, but he is gobbled up by Spotzilla. Thundergirl uses her "super strength" (that she remembers that she doesn't actually have!) to grab Spotzilla's tail, but it launches her into the air and she lands on the grille of a car. The Flesh, who does have super strength, tosses a leash which flies into the air and latches onto Spotzilla's collar, but his attempt outcome is yet to be determined as the episode ends with a cliffhanger.

Henry and June Act 3
Henry&June Till next Episode June expresses her frustration to Henry that the conclusion to the Action League Now! segment won't be seen until the next episode. She begins to lose strength and is in need of more cartoons! Henry recommends a dose of Prometheus and Bob which June uses her telekinesis to turn the page to.

Prometheus and Bob
Prom&Bob Music

Tape #22: Music

Prometheus teaches Bob how to play musical instruments. They first start with an alphorn which excites Bob and he tries to use it, but sucks up a projectile and hits Prometheus with it. Monkey steals the alphorn and plays it, but it summons a mammoth in the distance. Next, Prometheus is teaching Bob how to play a drum. This goes well for the most part, but Monkey comes in and distracts Bob from behind, annoying Prometheus. Finally, Bob plays the alphorn, but it summons the mammoth yet again. Bob mistakes the mammoth's trunk for the alphorn, blowing into it and is then flung off-screen, as the mammoth destroys the video camera.

Surprising Shorts
Surprising Shorts Scene 2

"Lava!"

A creature dresses like Tarzan, swinging on a rope and tries to grab onto a larger creature's tail. The Tarzan creature grabs the tail of the larger creature and pulls it, making the larger creature fart and sending the Tarzan creature away.

Henry and June Act 4
Henry&June Moar Telestuff! Henry is bummed that everyone else has superpowers except him. June says it's no big deal, even while she is using her telekinesis to lift a whale. Henry gets frustrated, and attempts to use his superhuman strength to tear open a bag of potato sticks! June encourages Henry to slow down as he may burst his brisket. While Henry does battle with the "snack food of death," June encourages everyone to battle boredom by watching Life with Loopy, as she turns the page with her telekinesis.

Life with Loopy
Loopy Egghead

Egghead

Larry says he hates eggs. His sister, Loopy, is an egg fiend, or at least was before an incident where she finds several eggs and eats them. Their parents are going out to run errands and have put Larry in charge. He says one may not think babysitting his sister is such a big deal, but the responsibility can be rewarding, such as getting an allowance raise. However, Loopy has made the responsibility a nightmare as she has turned into an egg after eating them! Suddenly, there's a knock at the door where a chicken shows up, coming to take Loopy away. Larry looks for help in a phone book, calling Giant Pest Hotline, but the worker is dealing with a situation of his own. The worker then offers advice to Larry, telling him to keep Loopy away from the chicken, otherwise it may sit on her until she hatches! Mom and Dad are almost home, but Loopy comes up with a plan to burp at the chicken, who admits that's "fowl," taking off in a hurry! Loopy is now back to normal and decides to take a break from eating eggs, but has found a new favorite food in waffles, giving Larry a good scare after turning (off-camera) into one of them.

Henry and June Act 5
Henry&June Page Turn June lets out a belch on a rumbling stomach and uses her telekinesis to send the scent over to Henry. Henry sniffs it and blows it away, thinking that's nothing and shows off his very own amazing, unbelievably-great superpower...Super Folding Power! Yet, it has little fanfare. Henry says he's pathetic, but with the encouragement from June, she thinks he has Super Hosting Power with the strength to introduce entire episodes! Henry then tries wiggling his ears, but June never minds that and says best of all, he's got the power to turn the page, encouraging him to show her his stuff. Henry tells June to stand back, because this is a job for Host Boy, turning the last page of the comic book!

Trivia[]

  • The Action League Now! segment in this episode is the only one to have a cliffhanger that continues in a future episode.
  • It is the first episode to only have one Prometheus and Bob segment. This would be common for future episodes that featured it, however in Season 2 episode "Better Than A Poke In The Eye!" it has two segments yet again.
  • It is the first episode to have Surprising Shorts.
  • This episode contains five shorts like the last two episodes before it. However, in reruns with Lava! being cut, the episode still has four shorts in total.
  • The Lava! segment and the Surprising Shorts bit proceeding it was removed from later airings due to the airing rights, which were only licensed for the episode's premiere.
    • Even then, alongside with other episodes featuring Lava!, it can still be seen on the credits in United States airings. In international airings, Lava! is cut off in the credits also.
    • Lava! is also left intact on the KABLAM! Korner (on Mark Marek's site) recording as the recording is the master tape of the episode.
  • This episode was scheduled to air on NickRewind (formerly The Splat and NickSplat) on October 9, 2016, but was replaced last minute with "It's Flavorific!."
  • In the "Top 100 Greatest Moments in Nicktoon History," the episode was ranked #61.
  • Noah Segan, who voiced Henry, considered this episode a personal favorite in a May 1998 issue of Nickelodeon Magazine.
  • This episode is not available for streaming on Paramount+ due to the Action League Now! two-parter's main villain Spotzilla having an uncanny resemblance to Spot the Telecom Dog, the former mascot for the New Zealand-based Telecom service. The next episode "Not Just for People Anymore!" is affected as well.
