Henry and June Act 1 | |
In Spanish, Henry greets the viewers, introducing himself and June. However, she is unamused and explains what Henry was trying to do was welcome everyone to another "cartoon cramfest." Suddenly, Henry sees "sitcom supernova" John Stamos from TV's Full House near the set and June encourages him to join them! Henry wonders what's with the "rent-a-cop" getup, but he thinks Stamos is in Studio B filming a major motion picture about a hard-boiled security guard, and with a "heart of gold," according to June. Stamos says he really is a security guard, but Henry doesn't believe him, as method actors are always in character. Stamos then gets a call about a couple of trespassers in the vicinity of the doughnut table, and he moves out to pursue. June doesn't get it, as one day Stamos is a huge TV star, and the next day, he's swinging a nightstick. Henry asks if that could happen to him and June, but she isn't too worried. As Stamos chases down the two kids stealing doughnuts, the page turns to Race Rabbit.
Race Rabbit | |
Robot Rabbit Gabby McShouts-Alot welcomes all to the Isle of Bruce for the All-Island All-Open All-The-Time Open, where all eyes are on French newcomer Brigitte Bounais, and it will certainly be a heated matchup. Pulling up to the starting line, Race greets Brigitte but she tells him to catch her if he can. Race thinks Brigitte is a bit "sassy!" After the rally starts, Race says Brigitte is enchanting and would like to see more of her, while M.A.X. suggests he gets moving! Still at the starting line, Race puts the pedal down to the metal, as M.A.X. strongly urges him to keep his mind on the rally and off "Miss Frenchy." Race wonders where could such an angel have come from, and little does he know that it's the doings of The Boolies; where they bought a remote-controlled robot rabbit. Thanks to their little "bionic bunny," Zit says Race is going to lose the rally! Zit manically laughs, until he sees Brigitte's car swerving down the road, telling Winston to be careful with the steering, but his feet are ran over. Winston asks what the plan is, Zit explains in a mere five minutes, their "explosive little friend" will make Race's heart go kaboom! With Race approaching, Zit turns on a switch underneath Brigitte to make it move around, before he and Winston hide out of sight. Race sees Brigitte "stranded," and he thinks it's destiny. M.A.X. hopes he's not going to pick her up, yet Race is going to give it a shot. Zit is happy the plan worked and says he's a total genius, before the rest of the rally participants are approaching behind him, and he thinks that he's not a "total" genius after all, getting hit and sent airborne. Brigitte says Race is big and strong, and he admits that he does work out a bit. Brigitte, with T-minus 4 minutes to explosion, nudges closer to Race, but M.A.X.'s sensors detect an evil electronic presence inside the car! Race isn't worried, and sets up a "romantic picnic" along the road. M.A.X. suggests they skip the picnic, but it's too late, as Race and Brigitte are already partaking. In fluent French, Race says he loves Brigitte like the morning sunshine, HOT sunshine! Winston thinks Race is talking funny and doesn't know how to respond, while Zit says it's French and tells Winston to say something French back. M.A.X. then alerts Race about the rally! He gets back on the road, and M.A.X. is pleased to see him burning up the track. Race admits he is in a hurry, stopping at Drive-Thru Chapel to marry Brigitte. With T-minus 20 seconds to explosion, the minister asks Brigitte if she takes Race "forever, and ever, and ever." An emotional Winston says "I do" while the minister asks Race if he takes Brigitte "forever, and ever, and ever." M.A.X. urges they don't have the time, and begs Race to just say "I do." T-minus 10 seconds to explosion, everyone is awaiting his answer. Race is afraid he doesn't, using his Ejector to send Brigitte out of the Turbo Rabbit Racer. Zit wonders where the "earth-shattering kaboom" is, before Brigitte lands in his hands and blows up. Gabby McShouts-Alot says quite the finish is in store for all, but one question remains; where is Race? Trailing the leaders in the home stretch, M.A.X. asks Race when he realized Brigitte was a robot. Race says it was the "droppings" she left on the seat; AA batteries. Race thinks he'll never find his true love, but M.A.X. encourages him to never say never, and just say "punch it" as he overtakes the leaders near the finish line for the win!
Henry and June Act 2 | |
Henry raps, with June as his DJ, until she tells him to refresh her memory on why they're making complete buffoons out of themselves. Henry says if they don't want to end up working security, they've got to "diversify," but June wonders why as rappers. Henry explains a lot of entertainers have revived their careers through hip-hop; respected stars like Shaquille O'Neal and "Prime Time" Deion Sanders! June complains of an "awful racket" approaching, but Henry invited his "main man" Busta Rhymes to give them a listen. After getting out of his car, Rhymes wants to check some of that "flava" they've been hyping. Henry cues June to start DJ'ing, while he raps. Rhymes says it's really "bad," and Henry convinces June that they're kicking the "bad flava." However, Rhymes gets back in his car and drives off, as June thinks that's not what he meant. Henry sheepishly stares at the viewers, while June turns the page to Action League Now!.
Action League Now! | |
Grief for the Chief At First Aid Kit General Hospital, the Chief has just been discharged after a debilitating injury. Thundergirl asks if he's all ready to go home, but the Chief says no thanks to everyone else. Meltman thinks if the Chief got hurt, he should see the woodchipper, but the Chief tells Meltman to can it, because he's going to end up with a "toe tag" if he keeps working with the Action League. Stinky Diver says they made one mistake, and it won't happen again! The Flesh then secures one end of a rope to the Action Mobile while the other end is tied to the Chief's wheelchair. As the League climbs aboard the Action Mobile, the Chief begs them to let him ride inside, but Meltman explains there's no room for his wheelchair, and Stinky thinks he'll be fine. As they set off, the Action Mobile tows the Chief's wheelchair, running across the road. They go over a speed bump, and the wheelchair (with the Chief still on it) breaks loose. It then lands in the middle of the road and gets run over by a street sweeper, which breaks the Chief into many pieces, as Meltman is relieved they're at least still near the hospital. The League anxiously awaits the results of the Chief, who lies in a deep coma. The Flesh passes the time by playing Duck, Duck, Goose before Bill the Lab Guy says that it looks like the Chief is going to bite it, although all they can do now is wait. The League then talks about how they miss the Chief, as he's always been there for them. Thundergirl starts by telling the rest of the League her favorite memory; the time the Chief helped her overcome her fear of ceiling fans. The Chief stands on a tennis racket, convincing Thundergirl that she can fly. Thundergirl refuses, as she's scared that she might get chopped up again. The Chief encourages her by telling her, "A quitter never wins and a winner never quits." With that being said, Thundergirl is flying and sings "Thundergirl, flying like thunder, thanks to the Chiefie, the best Chief around!" before she lands on the other end of the tennis racket, which launches the Chief into the air and the fan chops him into pieces. The Chief lands, thinking he's OK at first, but then he falls apart. Meltman and Stinky recall their favorite memory; the time the Chief invited them to a boxing match. Stinky thanks the Chief, and Meltman adds that he's more than a Chief, he's a pal. The Chief tells them "A friend in need is a friend indeed." Meltman thinks the least he and Stinky can do to repay him is to buy him a bag of peanuts. The Chief says that isn't necessary, as he's trying to watch his sodium intake, but Stinky insists and asks the vendor to give them one bag of peanuts. The vendor tosses the bag but it knocks the Chief into the boxing ring, where one of the boxers punches his head off and it lands in the peanuts! The Flesh also has a favorite memory of the Chief too; the time he helped him find himself. Thundergirl thinks the Chief has done that for all of them, but the Flesh really means that the Chief literally helped him find himself. The Flesh, walking around with a can on his head, doesn't know where he is. The Chief says nobody can see where they're going with a can on their head. The Flesh removes the can and tosses it happily, but it turns on a power sander that sands the Chief down to a fine powder, as the Flesh sneezes him away. The League starts crying over the fact that they might soon lose their boss for good. Justice then comes in and barks, recalling his favorite memory of the Chief; the time he got smashed by a cinder block. Stinky hugs Justice, and hopes the Chief pulls through! Bill tells the League that the Chief has taken a turn for the worse, and it's only a matter of time now before he kicks the bucket. With the Chief just moments away from being sent to the great beyond, the devastated League gathers around him to tell him that they've been thinking about him. They then explain about all the times they had together, such as when they blew him up with a nuclear bomb, and when they accidentally diced him in a food processor. Suddenly, the Chief's blood pressure is skyrocketing, much to Bill's surprise. The League — still too upset to notice — tells him about the time with a milkshake maker, the trash compactor and a waffle iron. With a scream of shock, the Chief is awake, and the now-happy League cheers about having their boss back. The Chief, however, tells them that they're in more trouble than a "ballerina in a barroom brawl!" The Flesh tells the Chief they're going home, but he tells them not to touch him. The Flesh accidentally pushes the Chief's bed, which bumps into a bench vise that launches him out through the window and into the road. The street sweeper runs the Chief over and he is in pieces, yet again.
Henry and June Act 3 | |
Henry and June are in a bathroom (turned into a dressing room) at the LaGalleria Shopping Plaza, getting ready for an exclusive public appearance. In other words, Henry says they're shaking hands with people at some "cheesy" mall. June tells him to get with the program, because if they want a long career in showbiz, they've got to extend the Henry and June brand. June then tells Henry to buck up and the only thing they have to worry about is whether there's enough security out there to protect them from their legions of adoring fans. Henry admits June is right, so it's time they go "ka-blow" the roof off the joint! As they exit the bathroom, June grabs a microphone and greets everyone at LaGalleria, although a tiny crowd is on hand. Henry worries about where everyone is, but June tells him to relax, as the real, hardcore fans are in attendance and they're solidifying their base. Suddenly, a woman on a loudspeaker announces that Say Cheese is now giving away samples of their lactose-free Jack in the food court, as the mall visitors, and even the security, rush away. Henry glares at an embarrassed June, before he turns the page.
Henry and June Act 4 | |
June welcomes everyone to KaBlam! Shopper, the home of the "great buy." Henry asks how does $49.99 sound for a one-of-a-kind actor's chair, as the lucky buyer can put their "hinder in the same recliner" used by him. June knows what those at home are thinking; she and Henry realize they have no future in showbiz so they're desperately cashing in while they still can. Regardless, June assures that nothing could be further from the truth, as they're only parting with the priceless artifacts because they want to give something back to you, the viewer! She encourages to call, and their operator (Mr. Foot, who is asleep) is standing by. With no calls, an upset Henry says the chair is really good, before he accidentally breaks it, and it now sells for a "best offer." June moves on to the next item; an attractive set of 8-ounce Styrofoam cups, but still, there are no calls. A stagehand walks by the sale, telling Henry and June he'll give them five bucks for everything he can fit in his truck, and they have a deal! Henry is happy at least somebody appreciates the one-of-a-kind, museum-quality treasures. The stagehand uses an axe to cut up the KaBlam! sign, and thinks the parts of it will keep him all winter. He then sees the next page in the comic book to use for "kindling," tearing it to Life with Loopy.
Life with Loopy | |
"Rock 'n' Roll Loopy" Larry says everyone knows Bugsteak is the coolest band on the planet. Why? 'Cause they rock, 'cause they're dope and 'cause they really know what it's like to be a kid! In his room, Larry dances to one of Bugsteak's songs with his friends, Lester and Lyle, before Loopy walks in, wondering if she just found "Loserpalooza." Larry reads in a magazine that Bugsteak is playing a live show this weekend, but Lester says it's 100 bucks a ticket...which is like two months allowance! Larry thinks it's no problem, as he'll just email Bugsteak at their official website to request a concert, and is sure they'll understand it's for the kids. Larry gets a quick reply, and it tells him to get real, as charity rock ain't where it's at, unless he coughs up the cash. Larry is in shock, before Lyle tells him and Lester to come hang out at his place, which just got premium cable. Loopy is appalled at how Bugsteak treated Larry, and it sounds like the "pop chart prima donnas" need to be taken down a peg! Plaza del Posh where Bugsteak is staying at gets room service delivered, which is just Loopy in disguise. She's unimpressed with their lifestyles, and thinks it's no wonder they've lost touch with their fans. One of the band members says that's bogus, and their lyrics are totally down with the young generation! Loopy says to prove it, by double daring them to stay one night at a real kid's house, and they accept. Back at home, Loopy tells Mom she brought some friends over, asking if they can stay the night. Mom is fine with it, as Larry is staying over at Lyle's so they can sleep in his room. She says dinner is on the table in five minutes, and then orders Bugsteak's band members to wash their dirty hands! Mom brings out dinner, and Bugsteak is eager to know what the "babe" cooked in the pot. However, Dad tells them to mind their manners, as that's Mrs. Cooper to them. Mom says Bugsteak is in luck, as it's her Friday night special; Mystery Meat Casserole, but this doesn't sit over so well with them! Dad then tells a joke, which leaves Bugsteak weary, before Loopy asks Mom if they can go out and play basketball. However, they have to do chores first by cleaning the cat litter box, washing dishes and putting toys away in the closet. With those chores done, Bugsteak asks Mom if they can watch television. She points out each member's long hair, and is surprised they can see anything, but luckily she's got just the solution; scissors! Bugsteak's band members are now wearing new haircuts, much to their dismay, yet Loopy likes what she sees. The next morning at 6 a.m., Dad wakes up Bugsteak as Loopy is eating cereal in the kitchen. Bugsteak admits that they had no idea how tough it was being a kid, and Loopy has taught them a lesson they'll never forget! Asking if there's a way they can return the favor, she requests them to stage a private concert in her brother Larry's room, which thrills him after he gets home!
Henry and June Act 5 | |
With the studio emptied out, June and Henry say it's been an "eye-opening" and "room-clearing" episode of KaBlam!. John Stamos then has awesome news for them; he got a new TV gig! Henry and June are excited, since if Stamos can get a second chance in showbiz, so can they! June asks him what the show is, and Stamos says it's some cartoon show about turning pages, as the old hosts are getting canned for having spent too much time trying to cash in on their fame, the last thing Henry and June want to hear. Stamos as host of The New KaBlam! bids the viewers farewell, while Henry and June now working security get a call about a couple of trespassers in the vicinity of the doughnut table. They move out to pursue, as Henry tells June to look on the bright side...they're still in show business! While they chase the kids stealing doughnuts, the comic book closes. |
